Facebook, Football, and a Freebie!

Good morning!  I'm excited that The Gingham Turtle is now on Facebook!  I'll still update the blog, but FB is a faster, easier way to communicate.  If you're not a fan on Facebook already, I'd love it if you'd become one!  You can just click on the box on the right to go to our FB page and then click "Like" at the top of the page.
At our house, we're very excited that football is just around the corner!  We're partial to red and black :), but the colors of all appliques can be changed to your favorite team's colors.  You can also add wording like, "Go Dawgs, Go Vols, etc..."
Blogger was not cooperating with this one, but I wanted to show you this Jon Jon that I embroidered, made by my friend Sara Stephens.  Sara also makes adorable longalls, short, pants, and dresses.  Email her at sara.stephens1@gmail.com for more info.

Football in madras and green corduroy fabric.

The football dog.  I also have a goal post applique that I haven't stitched out yet, you can see it on the appliques page .

Now for the freebie!  This Friday morning (Sept 2.) I'm going to do a drawing for a free monogrammed shirt (value, $12, can be applied to an appliqued shirt).  There are 3 ways to be entered, each one that you do gets you an entry.

1-Become a fan on Facebook (so, lots of you already have an entry :)
2-Post a link to our page in your status or invite at least 5 friends to become fans (if you do this message me and let me know, so I don't miss it)
3-Place an order before Friday morning (if you've placed an order in the last week, it counts)

So, you can be entered up to 3 times.  I hope that all makes sense!

On Friday morning I'll use random.org to pick a winner, whose name I'll post here!

Baby Gifts

Please keep me in mind for your baby gift needs!  I've updated my prices to include bibs and onesies.

This gown is from embroiderthis.com.  These make a  great gift!  I don't have any in stock now, but will order some if there is enough interest.

Boy Stuff

You might have noticed that on the "appliques" page there is now an album of filled stitch minis.  These are a great way to dress up plain polos.  I've just got a few right now, but will be more than happy to purchase more.  So, if you're interested, but don't see a design that you want, take a look at these links:

This would be great, except that I mixed up my own child's initials.  Arghh, he's wearing it anyways!  I'd love do either a navy whale on a pink polo or pink on navy for Anna.

I love this pirate ship applique!  It can be done with or without the personalization and in any color combo.

Applique letter on a circle patch.

Just for fun, a few more 4th of July shirts.  It's too late for this year, but keep me in mind for next!

For my Girl

I love how Anna's face lights up the first time she sees a shirt I've made for her. She gets so excited and is so sweet about it!
Finally, a gingham turtle!!  This guy has a raggy shell, which can be done in up to 3 fabrics.
Strawberry with a raggy stem.  I try not to put their name on everything that I make them, but I feel like this one looks a little naked without a name!

4th of July and Recent Orders

It's hard to believe that it's already time start thinking about the 4th of July, but if you want special shirts for your cuties, it's about time to order!  I have the 4 appliques pictured below, and any of the patches in patriotic colors would be super cute too.
*I have some boys 12 month shirts in stock, and also will be glad to purchase shirts/onesies for you and add the purchase price to your order*
I don't think you can really tell in this picture, but the top of these fireworks are the "raggy" style of applique.  I love the different texture!

Feel free to request different fabrics and fonts than the ones pictured.

Flip flops with Raggy Stars

I think these trucks are too cute for boys!

And, just for fun, here are pictues of some recent orders:
Aren't these gowns so sweet?  They're from embroiderthis.com.  You can have them shipped directly to me.

I love this crab and can't wait to see him on my favorite twins!

Patches are great for matching sibling shirts!

Monogrammed swim shirt.  I may have to steal this idea for Nate!

Who's Ready for the Beach?

I am!!

Nothing says summer like flip-flops!  I can add monogrammed buttons to your flops for $10/pair (not including flops).  These came from Kohl's.  I looked a few places and these were the best that I found, and the least expensive.  Can't beat that!  They had, black ,white, navy, and brown.   I think a single letter would be really cute too.  In fact, you might see some on here with an "L" soon!  I can do these with any of the fabrics shown on the "fabrics" page, and just about any solid color fabric.  These are all the True Circle Monogram.

This towel is also from Kohl's.  I've seen some really cute ones at Target this year too!
